Can you swim at St Andrews beach


It is possible to snorkel at the St. Andrews State Park Pier, or out on Shell Island. You will find habitats from the sandy bottom to the shallow grass flats to rocky faces of jetties. The habitats include tropical fish, crabs, turtles, rays, and, if lucky enough, a few bottlenose dolphins or a sea turtle. Snorkel gear can be rented at the Jetty Store. Once you get there it is all worth it, as it is the most beautiful water I've ever seen. It is like you are swimming in a pool it is so crystal clear. We didn't know what to expect with this so we went planning to spend a few hours on the island. Come expecting to spend all day!

St Andrews is one of our favorite state parks. I hope you enjoy! over a year ago. Yes you can kayak from the park to Shell Island however it is a little bit of distance and across a boating channel.
